Let's get together for another Vaughan Regional Network Meeting. In this meeting, we will learn about another great application, Keeper, and explore the value of financial planning and cooperation with financial advisors and bookkeepers.

Speakers:

Sean Fielding

Sean is a Customer Success Manager at Keeper, a software solution designed to help accountants produce better work, more quickly, and with fewer errors. He holds a degree in accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and has hands-on industry experience as well. At Keeper, Sean now helps accounting practices implement the platform and take full advantage of its features. In this session, he’ll walk through a product demo, highlight key functionality, and share how firms can get started with it.

Joshua Weiss

Joshua Weiss is a Private Wealth Manager at Quadrant Private Wealth, a firm known for its holistic approach to wealth management. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification. With a strong academic foundation in statistics, computer science, and economics from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto, Joshua brings over a decade of experience spanning roles at IBM Algorithmics, BMO Nesbitt Burns, and a fintech firm called d1g1t. He is passionate about helping professionals and business owners simplify their complicated financial lives and manage their risks effectively.

The presentation, “Financial Literacy & Behavioural Finance: Making Smarter Money Choices,” is designed to help bookkeepers and their clients navigate the complexities of personal finance. It covers five key hurdles that individuals face - overspending, lack of financial understanding, emotional decision-making, misconceptions about market history, and the varying quality of financial advice. Through real-world examples and practical tips, the session aims to equip attendees with a better understanding of compounding, asset allocation, risk tolerance, and the value of working with a fiduciary advisor.
