Mental health is a term that may seem obscure, and it might be scary to seek support when we don’t feel at our best. This session is designed to explore what common mental health issues look like, how working with a counsellor can be beneficial for everyday functioning, and what a therapeutic consultation looks like. Through a quiz, pop culture references, and discussion, attendees will get more information on how taking care of their mental health may improve general wellness.
Speaker Bio
Claudia Tobar has been a social worker for over fifteen years. She earned her Master’s of Social Work from McGill University and has worked in different fields including child protective services, anger management, as well as family court evaluations. She is now a clinician at Arete HR where she meets individuals and families to and help them work through challenging times and improve their mental health.
