We are pleased to once again offer our members and industry professionals the opportunity to tune up their knowledge and best practices around preparing their client’s 2021 T1 personal tax returns. 

This workshop is specific to Alberta & BC legislation. If you would prefer to attend a workshop specific to Ontario, please click here.

These interactive sessions are presented by Allan B Loiselle. As a professional tax preparer of more than 30 years experience, he will feature a PowerPoint presentation, group participation and discussion, a few exercises to put things in perspective, and a provided workbook. Topics may include:  

  • What’s New 

  • Annual review of tax brackets and rates 

  • Various types of income 

  • Common asset classes and CCA rates 

  • OAS Clawback and a few other surprises 

  • Employment expense in a COVID world 

  • Self-employment expense 

  • Rental and investment income 

  • Nasties from CRA 

  • Being a professional tax preparer 

Each 6-hour workshop is presented and split over two 3-hour sessions; Tax Tune-Up Tuesday, January 18th & Thursday, January 20th 1:00-4:00 pm EST (10:00-1:00 pm PST, 11:00-2:00 pm MST). Registration for these dates is capped at 20 participants; however, further dates may be added as demand requires. Attending the workshop fully qualifies for 6 CPD units. 

Bio Allan B Loiselle 

Allan is a tax accountant with over 40 years of accounting and more than 30 years of taxation experience. A Dale Carnegie graduate, Allan has brought his passion for the education of small business owners to the many workshops, keynote addresses and seminars he has delivered. 

Allan’s ideas are the result of working with individuals, entrepreneurs and micro-business owners. Allan frequently presents accounting and tax workshops and seminars to small business support organizations and fellow tax preparers.
