Business Foundation Workshop Series: EASY COME, EASY GO

July 9, 2021

12:00 PM - 3:30 PM EDT

Info

It’s exciting when clients come…. and challenging when they go. But these phases don’t have to be difficult.

Having tackled such tasks as identifying your ideal client, deciding on your pricing model, and creating your bookkeeping workflows and checklists, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and dig into onboarding and offboarding, two opposite yet similar phases.

Collaborating with and inspired by other bookkeepers, you will create a personalized plan for how you want to engage and disengage with your clients. You will create workflows and checklists that contain key steps and critical components, based on your own unique business model. We will also explore engagement and disengagement letters, so you’re covered for either phase.

With these workflows established and letters ready, you can be confident that when a new client comes to you or an existing client leaves, you can immediately get down to business. This is especially helpful if the emotion of a disengagement is high.

You will leave this workshop with the following:

  • Roadmap for onboarding
  • Roadmap for offboarding
  • Optimized Engagement Letter
  • Disengagement Letter

Invest in this workshop and come away with a clear picture of exactly what needs to take place at either end of that client rainbow.

About the Speaker:

Marnie Stretch, CPB

You know those kids in school who often had their hands up, excited to ask or answer a question? That was Marnie. Always eager to learn, she taught herself QuickBooks in the early 90’s when she lived in California and made a career out of it. Fast forward to the present where she’s back in Alberta, proud to be a member of the Intuit Trainer Writer Network who holds several Intuit and app partner certifications.

Marnie has her own remote bookkeeping and advisory practice called Accounting Loft and is a former instructor at NAIT and Mohawk College. Students and clients love Marnie's energetic teaching style, impressive QuickBooks knowledge, and modern approach to bookkeeping. She was named an Insightful Accountant 2020 Top 10 ProAdvisor as well as a Top Ten 2018 Influencer in the Canadian Bookkeeping World. She's immensely proud of her CPB designation.

Marnie has a wicked-smart son who is going into his third year of science at MacEwan University. In the summer, she likes to kayak in the Rocky Mountains, perform wedding ceremonies, or ride around town on her Vespa alongside her fiancé, who is teaching her French – by far one of the most challenging things she’s ever tried to learn
