Recognizing And Celebrating Excellence In Bookkeeping
The CPB Canada Bookkeeping Excellence Awards is a program recognizing the important contributions of deserving members, or their firms, that have proven to uphold the standards and ideals of CPB Canada, are working to enhance the bookkeeping industry in Canada, and have made outstanding contributions to their community, clients, and the association.
Who can Nominate?
- Any CPB Canada member, an employer, an employee, or customer/client of a nominee.
- Entities/companies that supply services/technology to the accounting/bookkeeping community, and their representatives, are not permitted to submit nominations.
- Self-nominations are permitted
Process
- Submit a nomination in line with the eligibility requirements before the deadline.
- Please Note: Incomplete nomination forms will not be considered.
- An Award Review Panel will review the nominations, and a selection will be made based on the highest compatibility with the eligibility requirements.
- One (1) recipient will be selected for each award category.
- Award recipients will be announced at the IGNITE Conference Awards Gala & Social Night on September 12, 2024.
Sitting Directors of the CPB Canada Board cannot be nominated for an award.
Nominations for CPB Canada’s Bookkeeping Excellence Awards are now closed. Winners will be announced at the Bookkeeping Excellence Awards Gala on September 12, 2024, at the annual IGNITE Conference.

The CPB Canada Professional Leader of the Year Award recognizes a deserving Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) who has proven to uphold the standards and ideals of CPB Canada, has experienced significant success in the past year, and has made outstanding contributions to CPB Canada, their community and their clientele.
Emerging Leader of the Year

The CPB Canada Emerging Leader of the Year Award recognizes a deserving member with less than two years of experience who has demonstrated professional growth and success in bookkeeping in the past year, has proven to uphold the standards and ideals of and has made outstanding contributions to CPB Canada, their community, and their clientele.
Firm of the Year
Firm of the Year
The CPB Canada Firm of the Year Award recognizes a deserving bookkeeping firm owned by a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) that has proven to uphold the standards and ideals of the association and contributed to the success of the broader community. This is demonstrated through proven growth, innovative and impressive use of the latest technology, and have achieved high recognition from their clients.
New Firm of the Year
New Firm of the Year
The CPB Canada New Firm of the Year Award recognizes a deserving bookkeeping firm owned by a CPB Canada member currently on the Certification Pathway at a minimum level of Technician. Nominee firms must have been in operation for less than two (2) years, demonstrated growth and innovation, adopted the latest technology to improve their business, contributed to CPB Canada’s success, and the success of its community.

The CPB Canada Distinguished Service Award, is a Lifetime Achievement Award that recognizes a deserving Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) who has accomplished significant achievement in their bookkeeping career through commitment, excellence, and innovation and has made a substantial contribution to their community, the bookkeeping industry and CPB Canada.
