Share on:

CPB Canada has recognized the achievements of Canadian Bookkeepers since 2015. In 2021, The CPB Canada Emerging Leader of the Year Award was created to recognize a bookkeeper with two (2) years of experience or less who has demonstrated professional growth and success in bookkeeping in the past year, has proven to uphold the standards and ideals of CPB Canada, and has made outstanding contributions to CPB Canada, their community and their clientele.

The first Emerging Leader of the Year Awards recipient was Natalie Marshik. Please help us congratulate her on this achievement.

Natalie Marshik, CPB - Bookkeeper

Natalie Marshik, CPB, is a bookkeeping professional with a passion for nature and the arts. Nat founded her solo bookkeeping practice, Chickadee Bookkeeping, out of a belief that strong financial systems are vital in our work toward a more equitable, sustainable, and creative future.

She currently provides virtual consulting and bookkeeping services to non-profits and charities across BC, with a particular focus on arts and environmental organizations.

In 2021, Nat was awarded the Emerging Leader of the Year Award by Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (CPB Canada), where she is an accredited and active member. Nat holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from McGill University, a Fine Arts diploma, a professional bookkeeping certificate from Langara College, and is an alumna of Vantage Point’s LeaderShift Program for non-profit leaders.

Nat speaks French, German and Spanish, and when not immersed in spreadsheets she enjoys screenwriting, bird watching, and practicing dog agility with her energetic Schipperke.
