Congratulations To Graeme Gunn, Recent Recipient Of The Alan Salmon Bursary

We are pleased to share the most recent recipient of the Alan Salmon Bursary Program through CPB Canada in partnership with Conestoga College as the current administrator of the program.

We formally congratulate Graeme Gunn on being awarded the Alan Salmon Bursary this term. As a successful recipient, the bursary will help further Graeme's academic and professional pursuits. Graeme shared the following words:

"In September 2023 I began Conestoga College’s Bookkeeping program to develop new skills in order to advance my career. As a more mature student, with a family to provide for, the opportunity to return to school came with some financial constraints. Being chosen for the Alan Salmon Bursary greatly helped relieve some financial burdens, for which I am deeply grateful.

Going forward, with the new skills I have learned in the program, I am looking forward to actively exploring new employment opportunities within the field.  

I would like to say thank you to Conestoga College and the Alan Salmon Bursary Program (sponsored by the Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada) for the bursary, and for believing in students like me."

We feel that there is no better way to honour the legacy of Alan Salmon than by investing in the future of our profession and community; in doing so, we remember his contributions to our organization and the industry.
