2022 Distinguished Service Award

The CPB Canada Distinguished Service Award is a Lifetime Achievement Award that recognizes a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) who has accomplished a significant achievement in their bookkeeping career through commitment, excellence, and innovation and who has made a significant contribution to their community, the bookkeeping industry and to CPB Canada.

The 2022 Distinguished Service Award recipient was Kellie Parks, CPB of Calmwaters Cloud Accounting, Ontario. Please help us congratulate her on this achievement.

Kellie is a relentless organizer who believes cloud financial and operating technology is key to your business optimization.                                   

An ardent devotee of online tech platforms, she loves apps that create a robust operational ecosystem. In 2009, she began using FreshBooks and Dropbox for her own business. As soon as QuickBooks Online and the partner apps came to Canada in 2012, she migrated all my clients to virtual systems. Kellie now uses cloud tech to run all aspects of my business.

Inspiring every accounting professional to love running a cloud-based business as much as she does, Kellie crafts processes and automation for forward thinkers who believe in the mightiness of online technology. She has dozens of pre-built templates to take the pain of creating optimization off your plate—so you can embrace the cloud with efficient, best-practice processes, systems and workflows. 

Cloud accounting technology lets her be a digital nomad for most of the Canadian winter, effortlessly serving her clients no matter where she roams.

Kellie and her fly-fishing husband, Jeff have three grown kids and two unruly Australian shepherds. They live in a 100-year-old, permanently under renovation, lakeside cabin. She is a runner, water/snow skier and live-music fan.
