BC Sunshine Coast - Regional Meeting - How to Find Errors...Not Avoid Them - In Person

September 25, 2025

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM PDT

Info

Navigating the flood of apps and software integrations can lead to unexpected errors, inaccuracies, and potentially costly consequences for your clients. Know that you are not alone—these challenges affect all of us. In this session, we aim to equip you with a practical toolkit to ensure accuracy in the books and the ability to sleep at night.

Speakers: Rinette Lagace, CPB and Janet Shimizu, CPB

As a CPB with 25+ years of experience, Rinette strongly believes in being knowledgeable and skilled in the right tools for her clients. She has suffered from "shiny app syndrome", and she has the scars to prove it. Rinette's mission is to help you know when your apps are not connected correctly.

Janet attained her CPB designation late in 2021 after over 15 years of learning from her mistakes. Janet is more interested in why things happen because once you know why, you can figure out how to make corrections. Janet continues to work in both the desktop and online applications of all the major accounting software providers. Doggedly troubleshooting applications seems to be her mission.
