Specialized expertise relevant to the role of the CPB Canada Director

The CPB Canada Community is very important to me and I have been a proud supporter for many years. Growing Eagle Eye Business Services Ltd. and working with many clients, including not for profits in which I report to the Board of Directors has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge to bring to the table. I have strong values around ethics and integrity, and because I value relationships and connection as much as I do I think this would contribute to a positive board experience.

Up to 4 competencies the candidate felt would benefit the CPB Canada board

Knowledge - I have relevant, practical bookkeeping experience which helps me to connect with the membership and the Board of Directors. Connection - I feel like I can connect with the Board and membership to create an engaging connection. Strategist - I love to strategize and think outside the box, I am always looking for ways to grow personally and professionally and could help bring new ideas and thoughts to the table. Passion - when I get involved I do so wholeheartedly and would love to bring the passion I feel towards CPB Canada to the Board.

Passion is a key driver when it comes to being a CPB Canada leader, ambassador, and effective advocate for the bookkeeping community. Tell us a little bit about your passion for CPB Canada

I was introduced to CPB Canada several years ago and immediately fell in love! The community felt warm, inviting and right. The training allowed me to propel my business and I have made some valuable connections along the way. I LOVE attending conferences and was honoured to fulfill a dream of mine to be a speaker at our last CPB Canada Conference. I am passionate about education and ensuring the CPB designation is meaningful and relevant. I also value inclusiveness and want to ensure all and especially new members feel welcomed and important.

What are your personal dreams or aspirations that could be enhanced by service on our board?

A growing membership and further reach into communities. I no longer have a local chapter and would love to see the reach of CPB Canada move further and deeper within our Canadian communities.
