As recently noted in the Land Acknowledgement at the IGNITE Conference in Winnipeg, in alignment with our broad national reach, CPB Canada wants to encourage our members from coast to coast to seek out Indigenous voices and perspectives by attending workshops, reading books, or watching documentaries by Indigenous authors and filmmakers.
To help, there are local resources from Indigenous communities that can educate us about the history of residential schools, the ongoing impacts on Indigenous communities, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action.
