As the Chair of the CPB Canada Board of Directors, I am pleased to provide an update on the Board and member activities from our amazing Annual IGNITE Conference last week in Calgary, Alberta.
The CPB Canada Board of Directors met twice, and the association hosted its Annual General Meeting for members. Please watch my video below or read-on for a detailed summary.
September 9th, 2025 – Final Meeting of the 2024-25 Board of Directors
The CPB Canada Board of Directors met to approve the following:
- A new organizational government relations strategy.
- A new organizational privacy policy.
- Updates to the existing CPB certification policies regarding continuing professional development and parameters around reinstatement.
Friday, September 12th, 2025 – Annual General Meeting:
During the Annual General Meeting of the members, the following business items were discussed and approved:
- Members received the 2024-25 Annual Report and the 2024-25 Audited Financial Statements, prepared by the firm of Parker Prins Lebano, CPA.
- Additionally, the members approved the reappointment of Parker Prins Lebano, CPA, as the Auditor for this fiscal year.
- The association announced the results of the Director elections. Below are the successful candidates along with their vote counts. We extend our gratitude to all candidates who put their names forward.

Friday, September 12th, 2025 – First meeting of the 2025-26 Board of Directors:
The new 2025-26 Board of Directors met following the Annual General Meeting to make Officer appointments for the upcoming term. Below are the appointments, including those assigned by virtue of their officer roles and those appointed by the Board.
