KiKimme Lafayette is the owner of Beyond Bookkeeping Business Services, which she founded in 2014 after gaining several years of experience as a bookkeeper.
Her passion for numbers began in high school, when her math teacher selected her to tutor classmates who were struggling with the material. After high school, Kimme initially pursued post-secondary studies to become an accountant but soon realized her interests lay elsewhere. She accepted an opportunity in a different industry, gaining valuable experience along the way.
Several years later, feeling unfulfilled in her career, Kimme decided to follow her passion. Having taken numerous night courses in accounting and taxes over the years, she ultimately left the management world to pursue her true calling. That’s when she discovered bookkeeping—a profession that proved to be the perfect fit. Since then, there has been no looking back.
Outside of work, Kimme is a competitive billiards player and two-time Canadian Amateur Champion. She is also a devoted dog lover and an avid motorcyclist who enjoys the freedom of the open road.
