Specialized expertise relevant to the role of the CPB Canada Director

Since 2014, I have been a Trainer, a Member, a Vendor, and am now honoured to be a Director with CPB Canada. These last several years have brought me unique perspectives that I now bring to the board. As a big-picture thinker and a passion for partnerships, I believe I can challenge the board to do our best for the members of CPB Canada.

Outline competencies that you feel will make you a strong member of the CPB Canada Board of Directors

I am a strategic professional that will bring passion and dedication to the board. I truly believe in the mission of CPB Canada and will strive to ensure the members and the association are positioned to thrive for years to come.

Being passionate is critical to the vibrancy of the Board of Directors.  Can you tell us a bit about what makes you passionate about CPB Canada?

This question makes me laugh only because being a little too passionate has gotten me into hot water more than a few times. I'm passionate about accounting technology and that CPB Canada is perfectly positioned to educate and influence the bookkeeping industry in Canada in a way nobody else can. I'm passionate about raising the standards of the bookkeeping industry in Canada to be a respected and desirable designation. I'm passionate about community and that although many bookkeepers work on their own, they don't ever need to feel on their own.

What are the values, attributes, and motivations you possess that will benefit CPB Canada and its Board of Directors?

I believe the members of CPB Canada should be seen as leaders and can set an example globally of how influential a responsible association can be with its members and in advocating for a national standard. I believe in teamwork, honesty and treating each other with kindness and grace.
